    Hi Guys
My E36 318is coupe heater/A/C fan does not run when the car is first started , it takes about 2/3 minutes before it will start to run.
This happens if the car has been left overnight.
    Any Ideas????

    Thanks Clive

Does it start really slowly and then get up to speed? or just literally takes ages to kick in?

I'd say it's the FSR - As it starts to warm up, and the cabin temp's increase, it's enough for the FSR to work.

Or, if like Ronnie is asking, it is spinning, but just takes awhile to gain momentum, it'll just need a grease up !

    Hi Guys
Thanks for the replies, in answer to your Question ,it doe,s not spin at all, so I put the speed up to maximum then after 2 or 3 minutes it starts to spin straight away.
What is the FSR? I replaced the hedgehog resistor 18 months ago, then the problem was a slow grdual increase in speed.

    Thanks Clive
