Hi, first post here so hopefully in the correct section!

I need help as my car has decided to let me down all at once!!!!

I have a 318is Coupe (E36) 99 on a T plate. When I bought the car, the previous owner had lost the remoke locking key so I only have the spare manual key.

So, have been using the manual key to lock the car via the drivers door. yesterday put the key in the boot lock and it will not turn, much like I am trying to use a key from another car. then today, the same thin has happened on the drivers door lock.

key works fine in the passenger side door, glovebox and ignition.

    Any thoughts!!!!

The central locking all works fine from the passanger door too.

Now, may a by chance but the passenger side electric window also stopped working yesterday. As the windows are frameless the window does not drop down as you open the door. (you can hear the sollenoid clicking when you press the button).

1 last question! Would my have had the remote locking by the actual key or an independant fob/remote unit?

I appreciate any feedback you can offer!

    thanks

Mnaged to sort the issue now, think it must be down to the temprature dropping. I have sprayed WD40 in the key hole over the last couple of days and now the locks work smoothly again!
