I just got a 1999 740i after two days of driving this car the radio, horn, wipers, cruise control, stopped working! The display reads "check brake lights" but all brake lights work WHEN they happen to come on. There is also a "Trans Failsafe Prog" message being displayed but, the transmission works fine but the steering seems harder than it should be. This issue happened about three times so far...the failed systems will come back up randomly sometimes after the car is started. I'm guessing its a relay but not sure which one. Help please guys

That does sound like a battery issue. Have a check on the battery terminals to make sure they are tight.

Another possibility might be the ignition switch.

i agree with the end read in tbmw mag trans prog usually is the battery might be worth having a look at that first.
There's an alternative. There's always a third way, and it's not a combination of the other two ways. It's a different way

I see you've made you're decision now lets see you enforce it.
