My lovely 320d cut out while driving all of sudden. Not starting now. 4 hours earlier I had the car on a Bosch tester at the authorized dealer. He couldn’t read any faults on the car, and he said ill should change the MAFF censor. I had no turbo power at all. On the way home from the dealer, the car cut out like there where no more diesel in the tank. Strange…
I drove the car next day to the Bosch-dealer with road help, and he said the fuel pump is broken. 2200 EUR bill. I didn’t believe him, so I took my car to another dealer. (not authorized )
Here they found the pulse generator camshaft that wasn’t working correctly (they could not see any faults on there tester either) so they changed it.
Now the interesting part comes: the car is starting more or less, after changing the camshaft generator but if you want to drive away its seems to “choke” on fuel, it dies on me completely. So the fuel pump WORKS, not like they said at the Bosch dealer.
We will now try to change the injector nozzle- the one with the transmitter on cause that may be an issue to.
By the way my clock on the business CD only shows --:-- but I can’t set the time. I don’t know if that could indicate something too, but it was like that since the cut out.
I would really appreciate any suggestions or experience in this kind of tricky problem I have.
