hello. i am new to the forum but i have a question i need answering asap.

yesterday whilst driving i noticed my engine management light has appeared and is staying on constantly i drove again this morning and its still there.

whilst the engine was cold i checked oil and water and both seemed fine.

the engine is behaving normally and i cant notice any differences mpg seems the same.

i cant think of any reason this will have appeared. i know my rear brake pads are low but this wouldnt cause the emi light would it

You should be checking the induction pipes and engine breather pipes e.t.c over for splits as this will illuminate the EML light and give a Lambda code.
