Ok, Follow up from my previous post.
I have undone the battery, cleaned the dust from it and next step is to charge it. Got a charger from a friend (brand is HILKA). That gives 12 v trickle charge and 12 v fast charge. The manual recommends trickle charging for 1-2 hours before switching to fast charge (remember, the battery was drained flat).
Now the questions:
- After research on inet it is obvious the battery is not sealed type (it got the vent pipe as well in the boot. Do I have to open the vents under the stickers? or just charge it as it is and rely on the small vent hole for the vent pipe on the side?
I have left the battery n the bathroom, the charger in the corridor and the window in the bathroom wide open. Do you believe there is an issue with the gases? Unfortunately as most english terraced houses the space is at premium.
