the bulb has gone in the middle of the reading lights, i was wondering if theres a method to remove the cover that covers the reading lights and the centre light?

Sitting in the drivers seat look along the edge of the light facia - on the edge you'll set a little gap between the facia and the roof liner. Use a very thin flat blade and put it in the gap - riggle it about and the facia will unclip from the light unit.

Once it's off do the same for the light unit itself - IIRC the light is held in with spring clips so it'll be a bit tight.

how do you mean do the same for the light unit? Once the fascia is off shouldnt i just be able to see the bulb?

Once you take the light facia off you'll be left with the light unit still in the roof liner.

If it's just the 40mm festoon bulb that has blown (the one that lights up when you unlock the car) you can change it in place.

If it's the map reading bulb (the ones that require the button to be pressed) then you'll need to remove the light unit to change the bulb, it's fiddly as fook to line it up in the socket on a table - in place on the car would be a nightmare.
