Has anyone got the relevant wiring diagrams to enable me to investigate the above problem?

I had the same problem mate.
All I ended up doing to get it all working again was reset the alarm module and re-program each fob.
There's another thread here that describes how to do that if you need.

Thanks Dragon, but I've already tried that.
Alarm (82 92 9 404 791) works of the fob, central locking works of from both doors and boot, but not with the alarm.
    Will check the wiring today.

Sods law it wouldn't be that simple.

Don't know if this is the same as Coupe-Boy has passed you, but here is a direct link to the download of the E36 ETM that I have.

    E36 ETM 1998 inc Z3.zip

Let us know how you get on and good luck.

Nearly sorted, found all the wires connecting the alarm to the ECM had been cut, the previous owner must have removed an alarm before selling the car.
Alarm working and operating the locks, but no siren sounds. There is a connector from the standard siren (6 wire) but I can’t find the siren. Not on the inner wing and no holes or brackets to suggest it was mounted there. Where else could it be mounted?
