i have a new rear light assy that i suspect is a non check control on my car which has check control, the socket and plug has a pin in different position.the lights work fine, but i am geting a fail msg on the obc.can i re position the plug connects to the position of the socket, to get the fail msg to go and have an operational set of rear lights, has anyone ever done this, if so what colour is the obc wire to the plug? i have had the plug apart and back together again, and no wiring diagrams.
i could try and get a new assy, but this is new and i was told it was for check control. i am trying to avoid the extra expense. any ideas,.

Have you compared the run of the wires on your old light compared to your new one to see if each one goes to the same place?
