    Hi all,

Hope i have posted in the correct area.

I have just restored some leather seats from a 1994 E36 , now the SRS light is on , i have seen these on fleabay (170454131335) occupancy sensors. They claim to switch the SRS lightt off, has anyone ever used one of these?

    thanks in advance

The seats that you restored, do they have the same wiring and is it plugged in? if yes then get the fault codes cleared and see if the light comes back on, if it does then get a bypass kit.

    Hi Ronnie,

No the seats are out of a 94 E36, which do not have the plugs in the seats silly question, will i need to put a bypass on both seats?
also will i have to get it hooked up to a diagnostic, to get the light off?

If there is no wiring on the 94 seats then you will need a bypass kit, should only be fitted on the passenger side as that is the side that has the occupancy sensor fitted in the seat. If the car is being driven then there must be someone in the drivers seat so they didn't fit a sensor on the drivers side,

No point getting a diagnostic done as the light will fire straight back on due to the sensor being missing.
