1998 E36 323 coupe. My drivers door was frozen solid this morning & it wouldnt open !!! eventually pulled it open..half way to work my window dropped half inch & interior light came on..window would not go back up to make a full seal so had slight wind noise..then the remote alarm would not lock the doors. the window only goes as far as the top of the but wgen the door is closed it doesnt pop up the extra bit to close fully.could it be a door switch gone faulty to to freezing weather ?

not a door switch i would imagine. youll want to take the door card off take a look at where it sits you may find the windows come off the arm that lifts it. really strange one but you wont find anything out unless you take the door card off.

Dont forget to proof read your posts I had a real hard time reading it, I should imagine thats why you havent received a reply yet.

Given the interior light coming on and the car not locking, I'd say a door switch would be playing up more than likely - if it was a physical window problem, I doubt either of those would be happening.

Could be as simple as giving the switch a good blast of WD40 while pressing it repeatedly with your finger, normally sorts them out!
