    Hi guys
i recently retro fitted a obc into my compact. It's a two button type.
i installed it mainly for the outside temp gauge and the mpg.
    if was working fine
then the other day the temp sensor that seats in front left break duct got rippped out because it fell out and i run it over.
    the display the showed -40c

i know is cold right now but not that colod lol

since then iv replaced it with a new sensor of ebay and the display still shows -40c

so i thought it was faulty so i got another one of ebay. but still no luck.

does anyone know what could be the fault???

could it ov dameged the actual 2 button computer or are the temps sensors of a coupe diffrent that thos off a compact??

    cheers guys

I've seen a few posts on here like this and with the sensor replaced it has taken a while to start working properly.

However, I would test the wires for proper earth / continuity. It may well have pulled and have a break in somewhere.

As E36Coupe328 says, check the wire continuity.

But I suspect, all it needs, is you leaving it alone while going for a drive.... It'll balance out !
