thats the way i tried first time round but i dont get the green leds lighting no matter how long i leave them. the only time they light up is when i first switch on my ignition in normal situation without shorting pin 7, thats the only time i can get them all on.

THey only light up for a little bit, they don't stay on when your driving, sounds like you've done it to me lol.

Screw the paperclip, get a piece of thick wire, Amp Power cable or thick copper is what i used.

Switch ignition to Pos 2, THEN short the circuit between the 2 pins (can't remember the numbers).
You need to short it for MORE than 4 seconds for a standard Oil service, and more than 10 for an Inspection.
Put cap back on, turn ignition off, turn on, all your green lights (4, maybe 5 i think, aswell as your amber and red) they stay on for roughly 10 seconds, then they go off.

It took me ONE attempt to do mine
