The other half's 318i has a problem with the vanity light on the passenger side.

Checked the bulb, and the fuses and both are fine, but the light won't work. The one on the drivers side works fine though.

I can hear the switch clicking when I slide the cover back and forth over the mirror, but not sure how to access the inside of the visor to check that it is working.

One of her mates opened it to "check her face" like they do, and didn't slide the cover closed again, and it was like that for a good few weeks until I noticed it when I was in the car.

I know it isn't really that important, but I'm one of those people that likes everything to work as it should in a car.

Are you certain the bulb is ok. Try another known good one.

I tried the bulb in the drivers side and it works fine, and the drivers one also works in the drivers side, but not in the passenger side.

Not sure what else to check as the switch is inside the sun visor and I can't see a way of opening that up without ripping it open.

Have you tried a multimeter on the bulb connections to see if you're getting power through the switch.

Could be a break in the wire where it comes through the roof lining into the sun visor.
