    Hello,

Brought a new car last week (ex Japanese import) and found out that there was only one key for it. The central locking signal strength seemed to be poor so i replaced the batteries in the key, Put it back together and now it is not working.

I have tried many methods to match it with the car yet none seem to work for me.

I am also having some trouble locating the alarm system i have checked behind the glove box, and below the steering wheel cover for an alarm and or siren but still yet to locate it.

The fuse box has fuses in it and they are all fine except i could not locate fuse #47 (supposedly behind dash?).

The car seems to lock normally from the door or boot, just not off the key!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,

    thanks

As per the guide unless you have the sensors and a LED then you don't have an alarm. You have Radio Remote Control which is remote central locking. The following are the instructions from the UK owners manual...

    Ok thanks,

But when i do as it says it just doesn't initialize by locking and unlocking. Get the beeps on the key for 10 seconds though just no conformation from the car :(

my key seems to look slightly diffrent from the one u posted but it could be that it is really worn
