Maybe im worrying about nothing but have to ask this.

Im going to disconnect the batt on the e39 and charge it (its been parked up with the alarm on for a few days) and just wondered if that will affect anything once i reconnect it? Will i have to reset anything?

    Cheers, watty

You'll probably lose radio stations etc, but also check your key works in the boot lock as you'll struggle reconnecting it if you are locked out!

Hi mate. Other than what the End said you wont lose anything. My car was without a battery for 3 months while going through restoration and once battery was connected all I had to do was reset the clock.

One more thing if you dont mind guys.

Ive been over to the car and right enough the batt is almost dead, its been parked up for 13 days now with the alarm on. Cant find my bloody charger though.

Im trying to sell it to fund an e28 and need it to at least start for viewers so need a good batt.

Was thinking of swapping the batt from the e34 and as its being driven over the next couple of days that should charge it up, dont suppose theres any problem doing that?
