My External temp sender got ripped out at some point as the brake duct and temp sender were missing when I bought the car so I bought a new sender from BMW wired it in but the obc still says -37 like it did before? There was 2 volts showing at the temp sender terminals which went to 0 when I turning the ignition off so some power is there (not sure how much voltage there should be)
Anyobne got ideas why its not working?

My mates had his wiring ripped off it, and I put it back together. As soon as I started the car, it still said -37c.

So I said f**k it, i'll sort it another day. Anyway after a few days, the temp' SLOWLY increased to a normal temperature. So I didn't need to do anything else to it.

I don't know if this is the case on yours, but just give it a day or so.

Quite a strange thing for it to do !

It should still move away from -37c, but might not still display the correct temp'.

You'll just have to see how it goes.

It took ages for the one on my 325 to get to the correct temp as well. As long as its getting closer it will be fine....
