    Hey guys,

Just got myself a 328i, and need a few issue's sorting.

When I unlock/lock from drivers door, it unlocks/locks everything, but if I unlock/lock from the passenger side, it will only unlock/lock the passenger door and boot, but not the drivers side.

Any idea what it could be ?

    Thanks,
    Ferret !

    What remote ?

Does the 328i's have remote central locking ?

I've only got 2 keys with it, and none of them are for remote locking.

i believe most came with remote central locking but it does sound like the problem is the solinoid in the drivers side door

Solenoid in the drivers door ?

Did you mean passenger door ? Thats the one that doesn't open all the door's.

And thanks guys, i'll see about a new solenoid for the door, but it's not a major problem, so it's not on my high priority list.

And i'll have to see if I can get a remote key for my car

E36_DOM is prolly right m8 it will be the solenoid in the drivers door, if the boot is locking when you lock from the pax door then its switching ok, and if the other doors/boot lock from the drivers side its the drivers side you would need to replace as its the physical action of putting the key in and turning on the drivers side that is locking that door

bout 45 quid for a new one

Just to let you boys know, that I got this problem sorted - I've order a second hand drivers side door motor for £15.

So hopefully, i'll get this issue sorted, and get my remote central locking working too !
