Hey guys, I want to change my number plate bulbs for LED ones, but I don't know which ones I have. On Ebay, there are 4 different length of LED festoons. 36mm, 39mm, 42mm and C5W.

It's quick and easy to pop one of the bulbs out and measure it

I took a guess and went for 39mm off ebay, they better fit

Which ones are you looking to get? 8 led's per bulb is the best I reckon

I measured the dud bulb from my number plate light that I replaced a short while ago and I measured it at 37mm.

Just tapped in the details for my 1996 E36 325tds touring http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...d=&makeName=-1

Compared it to my 1992 E36 318is Coupe an there appears to be no difference.
