    hi guys,can anyone tell me how i would go about getting a new remote-fob.i had one that never worked and just thought it was battery,but seem to have lost it.would like to get a new one,as using the key all the time is a pain. but where do i start? any help as always is very much appreciated. thanks

    eBay (probably £5 to £15 if you are lucky) or new from dealer for about £40

    I have 1 you can have, I have no need for it. Just give me 3 quid for it to cover postage. You'll have to get it tuned into your alarm tho.

    Good show Charlie
    If you do that then Haggis (and i'm assuming it's the 3g alarm, one red button and one grey button) open your bonnet and locate the siren on the nearside arch. Open the small round plastic cover to reveal the lock. If the key lock is switched to on your half way there. If it is off then you need to get a key. I hope you have one as I can't get one not even from bmw :(
    Anyway I will assume all is good and the siren is switched on. All you then need to do is sync the fob with the car. My how to is in the how to section and should help ya. Sorry i'm on phone and can't copy and paste the link :( I have been told the recievers can be in different places than where mine is but other than that it's pretty easy
