    Hi Everyone,
Just goy my new '97 323i and its a cracker, really nice, great condition throughout,i have a question please,it had a rear boot spoiler fitted with a brake light in it,when i got home tonight i noticed that the low level brake light in the rear window was working along with the normal ones but no spoiler brake light,I'm no auto elecrician but wondered if anybody could possibly give me some ideas where to look to see if i can get this working,i'm anal like that,if its there i like it to work,i haven't really explored it yet so i'm guessing maybe fuses but then again probably not as all the others are ok,connections and so on,only problem is i don't know where it would be connected too. anyway if anybody has any ideas i'd be very greatful. Thankyou
    Matt.

Check if the spoiler brake light is even connected. Look for wires on the underside of the bootlid coming from the spoiler. If it was installed properly, you may have to look inside the rubber covering of the main wire loom (just pull it down). Look for non-standard wires. If they are there, follow them into the passenger side rear light cluster housing (remove the plastic cover) and check where they go. One wire should be ground and one wire should be connected to the brake wire.
