Hi all, some of you have probably read my thread in the General Discussions section; caught Speeding, how far out are our speedo's. Right, I've been nformed the speedo reads off the rear diff, and I have oversized tyres on the back, 40's instead of 35's, and according to a tyre size calculation site, the reading frm my speedo would be out as much as 7%.
So, what I am looking for to remedy the situation is to fit a digital speedometer that works independently from any of the car's existing system, so no tapping into the feed to the cars own speedo or the ecu or anything.
From what I've found there are these;
I am still a bit confused between the HALL and the REED type sensors. They both look the same. Am trying to find definitions of them in blonde person terms. HAHA.
Has anyone else fitted a digital speedo that works outside of the car's wiring?
