    Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has or knows where I can get the schematics for my 3G fob (the rectangle fob with the corner cut off and has a red and a grey button). I'm trying my hand at electronics and this would be very helpful for my project.

Do you have the same fob as me? what battery, the car battery or the fob battery? If it was the fob I know it's a daft thing but have you put it in the correct way. You will know as the red led will flash when you press a button. You might need to re sync the fob.

Now back to topic anyone got the schematics?

You need something that detects radio frequency

    I suppose like this. http://www.zapchecker.com/

Unfortunately I dont think that will work. I have been trying to look into this and it seems to be quite complicated. For instance the frequency they give off are Ultra High Radio Frequency UHRF and I think its 433MHz or something. Thats just the beginning as so no one can just scan for your frequency and then use it on your car, the car and fob send 40bit codes to each other. This means there are about a trillion different codes. This is why you never open someone elses car with your fob. The alarm and fob seem to be quite smart because if you press the button whilst your 2 miles away from the car the list of 40bit codes become out of sync. There is no problem as the back up to this is a list of 256 codes everytime you press the button. So if your kid gets a hold of your fob and presses it 255 times you can go to the car and press the button one more time and the car will open resyncing its self and starting with a new code and a new back up of 256 codes. If however your kid hits the button 300 times and you then go to open the car the fob will not work and you will need to manually re sync the fob and alarm

So this basically means my project is becoming harder
Anyone got any ideas how I could get my fob (the one on the right) squashed into the flip key fob (the one on the left)?

Who in the uk makes pcb boards?
