    im sure this has probably been mentioned on here before but i cant find a suited thread.....i read up on an american site that you can read fault codes from your car without a comuter.this is done by pressing the accelerator pedal 5 times while your red lights are on. and doesnt work for me though and im wondering is this because my car is uk spec.

    apparently you read them from the small dispay just below the milage clock where the little red yellow and green bars appear when you turn the reds on (the ignition position before starting the car) theres the link i read it from http://www.bmwe36blog.com/2007/01/24...d-diagnostics/

    Pedal stomp test doesn't work on UK cars, you'll need to get the fault codes read with diagnostic equipment.
