pretty much guys i want to retrofit from the clock to the 18button OBC

i went to the local scrappies and there is 1 there, so i have removed the unit but left the black and white plugs (i know these are needed)

me and my brother removed the passenger side glove box and carpet etc and the wires run so far in then just joins into lots of wires,

do i just snip the wires at the plug or just follow the wires as far as possible and then snip it so the plugs have the wires all colour etc so i just match these up??

advice and help grateful if more info need please let me know,

fingers crossed the unit works but got it for nowt!!

Trace the wires as far back in the loom as you can before you cut them, especially as you have the clock so you'll need almost all of them. You need the temp sensor and wiring too, plus the Check Control module and sensors if the scrap car has one and you want to fit it.

You have been through the How To section and read all of the excellent guides on this, haven't you?

yeh i have seen the how to guides,

is the check control module located at the cigarette lighter section a black box?

i traced them back to the front of the dash then just joined the rest of the wiring and kind of confused me,

where is the temp sensor located??

The CC module is a small black box and should be behind the glovebox. Temp sensor is in the N/S brake duct, next to the fog light.

Or disable the check control feature, because isn't it dependent on the body electronice without which it is a LOT of work

No warranty of any kind implied or given.

I would guess that disable is a reversal of the process given here

However, you could probably do with someone with a similar car and no check control giving you the EINHEIT numbers required as it appears to be a bit mask.
