Hi everyone, when i bought my car it came with a fob (different to any of the e36 bmw alarm fob i'd seen before) however it didn't work, i later realised that it was because the siren had been taken out of the car, i recently bought a complete 3G mk2 alarm (in the link below) to replace whatever is left of the existing alarm.

Should this just be a simple swap of the alarms and wiring? Or could this cause issues with the immobiliser? I'll be sending it to a auto-spark to get it fitted but i just want to know in advance if there will be any issues or if it will even be possible.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have 3G Mk1 you can use the original loom and fit the 3G Mk2 module but you must swap the siren wiring.
