Hi all i got my self a nice set of m3 style rear lights and im having problems with the o/s/r light. When lights are on or brake theres nothing coming from them but the other side works fine.I swap bulbs around and still nothing but if i put my old light back in then it works.I did see that on the m3 lights where the block connetor plugs into theres 8 pins where the old light has 6.Could this be that i need to move the wires around?

Sound like you have fitted check control lights to a non check control car. The pins are in different positions....

Have a read of this and the little note at the bottom, you should be able to convert them.

There is a fix for this if you have fitted M3 lights with check control to a car with non check control, it requires some soldering of a couple of wires to the back of the lights, i am sure i have seen a how to on here somewhere? but i can't seem to find it.

Its strange because it only ever effects the O/S. I had this problem before I joined the forum and just soldered the wires as the above diagram. Those lights have now been in 2 cars...

    Are they genuine lights ?

Seems abit odd for them to only have 6 pins ?!?

Maybe been imported from America where (I don't think) they have fog lights in the rear.
