    Hi,

I am totally new to this forum and a first time BMW owner.

My odometer is not lighting up properlly. I have tried the dashboard button to increase and decrease the light but it does not light up in the orange colour.
Sometimes the mileage appears but extremely faint.
Also, the squares under the odometer what are they? Someone mentioned they are service indicator lights or a clock light?
Whatever it is I can't view this either, it's just under the odometer and it is also very faint squares

I've checked fuses but all seem in order.

    Thanks.

    Y

You need to remove the instrument cluster and replace the dash bulbs, see here, http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...-90-Gauges.htm

And yes the squares under the odometer are your service lights, http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/f17/bm...-lights-t7128/
