Or... you've set the boot lock to Valet mode, which means it doesn't operate on the central locking. Download the owners manual and read page 33.

Ferret, If I'm right do I get your wages?

Yes - But the same goes applies to me, if i'm right I get all your wages, and devonlads... I don't suppose your the prime minister, are you ? I could do with some cash

I'm feeling quite optimistic about this, because i've never heard of valet mode on a standard alarm... Nor can I find anything with the word "valet" in the manual you posted

Also, I hope to god there really isn't a valet mode, and he hasn't accidentally put it in that mode

The idea is you lock the boot with the master key as shown then give the grey valet key to the garage. They can open the car and drive it but the boot won't open on the central locking and the valet key doesn't fit the lock so the boot contents are protected.

I know what you mean now - I haven't got the grey key.
The same applies with the glovebox too, the grey key can't open it, either !

Quite a useful feature on the Coupe !

The trick is not to turn the key fully to the right and hold it there.

Looking forward to living on beans for a month Ferret?
