    Hi Everyone
Am a newbie to the bmw scene, so forgive me for any mistakes.
I am looking at a 1996 740i at present, but it does come with a problem.
Either using the key fob or key itself, u can unlock the car's central locking, open the back doors but the front doors remain locked.
Also, the car wont start and woz wondering if it could be the immobilizer cause the doors are locked.
    Any ideas would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Stuart

Hi, there's nobody with a better sense of humour than myself.... just ask all the people who don't laugh at my jokes. I don't doubt for a moment that the guys offering the unsolicited advice re. their dong enhancing V8's may well be the mainstays of the group (replying eagerly at 8am it's reasonably safe to assume so). But I maintain that two 'valued' members should know better than to criticise another new members choice of motor. Especially as the member in question was posting for the first time. Once we all get to know each other (not that that's gonna happen now) I'm all for a bit of ribbing. If you give it, you've got to be prepared to take it etc. etc. But all I asked, in the first instance, quite openly and genuinely was if anyone knew of any standard issues to watch out for with the 08 630's. I did not ask for anyones opinion on my choice of motor. They are both totally out of order. I've seen it all before Mark. Politicians, councillors, committee members are always people who shouldn't be politicians, councillors or committee members.
