    Anyone any ideas why the obd is telling me my brake light circuit has a problem but the brake lights are working fine. turn the car off and start it its fine for 5 mins then the message comes back again!!! PS it a 96 M3 evo!!

    This has come up on the forum before and turned out to be the brake light switch

    This can be found at the top of the brake pedal.

    Also check and clean the contact surfaces on the bulb holders just for peace of mind

    Spot on A 20 RYM! Brake light switch replaced, no further warnings! Also replaced the oil level sensor as that light came on when i turned the car off for about 5 seconds, Also cured the problem! Cheers for the help mate!
