    I keep getting this check light pop up every few days, Is this a common fault?

    If it's not due to the brake light bulb holders having a poor contact then it will be the brake light switch, you have a 4 pin one as you have a OBC, it is common

    Very common. IIRC the replacement switch is £20-30. There's a guide on replacing it on pelican parts. I can post the link if/when required.
