Hey folks! I been readin through most of your postings here, and this seems to be the place to call out for some help!!!
Last week i totally f*ucked up...
I had been away for a cpl of days, i was in a hurry to get home, my battery was dead. Well by accident i had another battery in the trunk, a freetime one.
Well long story short...i took the spare and replaced the batteries....what i DID NOT notice, was that the "connectors" was placed the other way on this battery...still no probs gettin the cables to fit. When i turned the key i noticed my dashboard beein nuts, and nothing would happen.
I ain´t really this stupid (even tho this felt like the most firsttimer-thing to do), so i immediately understood something was wrong with the battery and removed it.
Well of course the charger was burnt...so that must be replaced.
But other from that i got no idea, when i got the original battery back in the car, i tried starting it. Starter is working, but it won´t start...
Since i don´t have a diagnostic-tool myself, and i live in the outback...i wanted to try my luck here first, before toading it into town.
You think i killed the DME? Even more stuff? No fuses at all got burnt.
Honestly happy for any help! (and really, this ain´t easy asking for, since i am actually a pretty decent DIY, but still accidents happen)
Thanx in advance!
