    Heya's,

I think i might of figured why the stalk's not cycling, well besides not being 100% sure of where the wiring goes doesn't help hehe

But, i'm sure as the stalk is mainly plastic/resin etc, what i never did was actually earth the stalk, i think, going by pics i've found there are 3 variants on the stalk, 2 are black and 1 is white, depending on type and car format the earths differ somewhat on the connections

From looking at the varying wiring diagrams, (non for a diesel though) the stalk is merely a push to make type of switch through a normally off setup, so to my mind, if the push to make is trying to fire through the earthing, and i never attached the basic earth for the stalk, then to me it makes sense that it won't work, obviously i have to have the 'new' red/yellow stalk wire going to the correct location

I have had a few to drink tonight though lol, so maybe right off the mark :P

Anyways, it's working a treat, seems to be darn accurate on mpg/range for sure, to me that's more than worth the headache of having to use 2 guides to get it running

    Cheers

    Tony

Sounds right. I believe it is a switched earth. If you have a multi meter I would follow the connection through to make sure you don't end up with the wrong kind of short

Well i am a bit closer

So closer it's annoying me like an itch i can't reach to scratch

The stalk has an added wire, it runs off a new black (2 thin black wires that go to stalk end switch)

With this red/yellow to a perm live, eg: white obc pin 8 and .............

The white obc pin 4 (red/brown) if i send this red/brown to eg: white obc pin 13 (brown earth) i can cycle by touching on/off the red/brown onto the earth

Just went slightly mental and blew a few low rated fuses (keep loads spare for any cars i have lol) very hot here, thought wth so held wires here there n everywhere lmao

So, almost done, but it's annoying :p

Cheers, will try better with multimeter when it's cooler, also can't find my clip-on leads. only find my hold-to-touch leads grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Thanks

    Tony
