Can anyone explain why the mileage readout is only displaying the bottom half of all the digits please?

If I give a firm tap on the top of the dash it will illuminate the top half of the digits briefly.

Is there a repair procedure or do I need a new cluster

    Could be a bad connection.

If you search this site and Google for missing pixels or pixel repairs, you will find a lot of results.

It does seem to be like a loose connection as when the dash is tapped the mileage can be read in full but only for a brief amount of time
