I have just fitted a sat nav to my 1996 e36 323i and i need to find out which colour wires the speedo wire is and also if anyone knows which is the resverse wire, tho I can just run this off my reverse lights.

So if anyone has any idea which is colour wire the speedo wire is would be great

    Cheers

    Matt

Doesn't the Sat Nav use a Global Positioning Satellite to triangulate it's position at any given point in time and therefore accurately calculate the true speed of the vehicle to which it is fitted to.... Or am I just missing the point???

My Navman does the same too... Bloody cool if you ask me - why use an inaccurate speedo when a Satellite can tell you how fast you are really going!

I like comparing the 2 and they always seem to be spot on with each other Its uncanny but a bit scary cause if it knows your speed then who else knows your speed

    Speed signal - Pin 2 on the Blue Plug (X17) - Black/White
Reverse Wire - Blue/Yellow (not on the instrument cluster)
