    Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my 323 coupe where the battery keeps going flat.

Do you know if there is anything inside the car that will draw power even when the car is stood still / off.

It might just be the battery but it sounds like something is drawing power inside and it was working perfectly yesterday. This morning it was totally dead.

Ill check with a meter later but im hoping it might be a common fault.

    Best regards

    Lee

Possible causes could be built in mobile phone or traffic monitoring if fitted

Buy (or borrow) a multimeter. First you need to establish that you battery holds it's charge.

The next stage is to test your charging circuit. If both these areas are fine, then you need to look for something drawing current while the car is parked up.

Also, provide some more details, how long car you leave your car before it won't start etc and what other tests have you done.

How old is the battery? How long is your average journey? Is it freezing where you are?

ive also had the insde boot light staying on once the boot shut and i took the bulb out to see if it was ok and it was the bulb.
other culprit is if youve had someone put you a cd player in and they not connected blue remote wire that turns it off when you turn off ignition

It maybe worth checking battery drain when the car is turned off by using a multimeter
