Hi I have removed door card and am stuck now. I am usless at electrics.

I have tested black plug that goes into driver side convertable window motor then flicked switch and tested voltage it flick at 5 volts i though should be 12?

The switch clicks and light dims like does on working windows. It clicks in door too but dunno if this is from swicth it is all one click the noise. All othe rwondow work fine is only drive rthat is issue. It needs doin as on cab they rise after closing door a cm and now let in water.I

Is there a way of finding relays to see if they are problem are there seperate one for all windows? i find fuse/relay box confusing it says number i.e for front window lift but no number on fuses etc :S.

can anyone help and post pics of what relay and where is for drivers window. I am stuck what to do next.

I hope isnt motor as the bolts that hold onto bracket just turn the hole bolt and nut they wont loosen and only way to get motor of is to remove whole bracket arggg.

I could buyt a motor and plug it in but seams a waste if i dont know it is that, i was thinking if was a relay for each front window could swap them over to see if works.would just buy a motor but on ebay want 25-30 quid for one.

sos help someone can help as door cards all stripped off now, cheers steve thanks in advanc

It will be the motor mate, as it controls the last movement ( door closing) and the main function, easy fix mate all you have to do is drill out the rivits and unbolt the motor and replace, i just used some nuts and bolts to replace the rivits, hope this helps

i got a tested full motor + regulator does same thing clicks. I think may be an auto elecs job and a lot money :(. Tested fuse and is ok, all window are finie only that. It seam like it isnt getting enough power or is fault elsewhere, trust it to be complicted and not the obvious i am stuck now. The current seam to just flick on test meter and go back to 0, who know what the problem is but is abig issu enot have a driver working window esp on convertable, thanks. It isnt window motor or regulator so unsure what else, i tested the new parts in plug but just did same thing as one it it does.

Have you checked all the wires/pin in the plug that goes into the door?

Worst case scenario it could be your body control module is fubbared
