I have a bmw e36 convertable, fully auto roof. The problem I'm having is when I close the roof it stops 3cm to short for the latches to grab. I have to get out and push down for it to reach its quiet tight. I'm quite clued up with cars but I can't seem to figure out what is going on?
    Thanks

First thing you need to do is re synch the motors.

    Like so

Then report back with how it behaves after that

I have re synched the motors before, do they play any part in dropping it down further?
I have taken the rods right off before to see if it would drop any more but stays in the same position
