The key-spinning-in-barrel problem is back... with a vengeance!
The car started fine, I overcame the problem at that point as I always do, but when I pulled up, I turned the key to switch it off and the barrel started spinning... with the engine running!
I span it back round towards where it should be, but it just kept spinning and not disengaging.
Eventually, I managed to pull the key free... but the engine kept running!
I stalled it, but then the ignition was still on, so I've had to disconnect the battery. I cant' seem to get it back to the correct position though.
Is there a way to do this without just joining an autoclub and calling them in?
Many thanks for any help.
