Hi guys, just installed the 3g mk2 alarm on my 318is so as to get remote locking but it seems not to be able to control the standard total closure system I have from locking with the key.
I know that some of the alarms would definitely do it, IIRC the 3g mk1 had an LED that was also a button that let you enable or disable the total close function.
Anyway, am I doing something wrong or was this not compatible with the mk2? I'll be well annoyed if its not as that was the only reason I fitted this alarm!

    Andy

To the best of my knowledge TC is only possible on the 3G Mk2 by using a programmer. Basically it tells the module to send a longer "close" pulse to the door lock circuit.

That essentially seems to be the case, though interestingly I spoke to a BMW tech yesterday and he said the 3G mk2 was not programmable.
However, I am working on a solution myself, Ive identified the total close trigger wire and am busy getting some relays to interact with the remote locking signal.
Will report back when I have more info.
