    As per the title...

I have the siemens 2T alarm onl using the AC38 fob and have just fixed my remote central locking as the boot actuator wasn't working but is now after repairing the bootlid wiring...

    My question is....

My remote central lockin works perfectly but I have tried to lock the car with the key and it only locks the door that my key is being turned in and not the whole car...

Is there a way to get this to work?? Could it be the wiring in te passenger footwell playing up???

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like you have read my guide....

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...3g-ews-t39173/

The Sigma 3T piggybacks onto the CL system so if it working the doors and boot lock then the solenoids (the usual cause of your issue) are OK.

Just out of interest have you tried locking the entire car from the boot with the key? You will need to make sure you use a master key and not the grey "valet" key.

The earths would affect both the manual locking and the CL so I don't think that is the cause.

The 3T system would have been fitted by the dealer when the car was new so the chances are the door locks have hardly ever been used to open & close the car. It could be that the microswitches in the door locks have failed and they are not giving the signal to the locking module.

The only other option is that a previous owner has disabled physical locking by cutting the wires - stranger things have happened!

    Cheers for the reply Billy...

It's the 2T alarm I have without the immobiliser...

I've tried locking with the boot and there still seems to be no response!!!

Will have a nosey behind the door cards over the next few days...

    Thanks for the response
