    Seat heaters don't work left and right. Freezing my nuts off in the morning

    The lights in the switches work, high and low position.
    If I look at the schematic in the Bentley manual page ELE-246 this would mean that fuses and unloader relay are OK.
    I'll have to find the heater elements connectors and check there for continuity.
    The problem could be the heater elements (all four then), the wiring, or the switches themselve (both).

    Are those heater elements difficult to replace DIY?

    It's the heater elements that are broken but only the bottom ones, not the back ones.
    The back ones are about 6 ohm, that makes 32Watts at 13.8V.
    Not to bake your kidneys
    I didn't even notice they actually did work.

    I found a good description on a US board how to open and close the seats but it looks a bit nifty to do. Not sure I want to go that way

    It has usefull pics but the explanation in your link is more clear for me. On top of that it shows a repair instead of a replace.
