    can someone tell me if my ecu is behind the fuse box and battery under the bonnet? seems like theres a plastic kind of sponge there, ? do you just pull that out?

    Thats where it is. Its behind the battery where that wire goes into...

    The cover is held on by 7mm bolts IIRC....

    Yeah. Ive not taken one out for a long time, but IIRC the ECU is held in by a screw and it just slides out of the compartment. Obviously the battery will be disconnected, and just make sure you dont drop it....

    Just out of interest what are you doing with the ECU jjbbuzz? Im just being nosey...

    i was thinking about a re chip.not really after extra speed,just better response,as i no nothing about cars,i was hoping that it would work.and it wont be to much of a waste if it dont.

    Fair do's. Worth a try for that money. His feedback looks ok as well.
    Dont expect much BHP, but may smooth out the flat spots if his map on the chip is good...
    My opinions on these ebay chips have changed a lot over the last couple of years.

    yeaa it may be worth a try, not ordered yet no.i wont pay 40,well ya wouldnt when he's put near offer so to speak, and im skint.lol
