    ok i had my drivers door card off, to sort something out, and come across these wires with plugs on the end? which are not in use ,just tied back?can anyone shed some light on what they are?? this is on the end of the door just below where the locking is?

    Could possibly be a plug for the heated locks

    Mine has the winter pack, which includes the heated locks and heated washer jets. My drivers side lock had malfunctioned and was causing a massive battery drain, i had to unplug it and fasten the cable back like that


    Can you see any corresponding plugs inside the door?

    will have a look for other plugs, funny you say that certain days i have to boil the kettle to get the keys in to open the car..lolthats why i want remote central locking.!

    I have plugs on my Coupe that aren't in use too

    I think you'll find it's because the looms are used in doors with different options such as heated locks as already mentioned

    ok cheers, i cant get into my car with the key when its real cold!anything i can do with those wires? the more i try do to this car,the more wires and connectors i find not used? to me that sounds bad.. dodgy ya no.. these i found today when i took out the glovebox to try run the wire from the obc,one small connector and a small one?which i couldnt do..

    To me, the one your holding looks like the connector for the siren/bonnet switch.
    You got an alarm? Does it work?

    na i have no alarm..! what im also trying to get fitted, had one,the sirens gone from under the bonnet.

    see these again the other day,my original post! any way of finding out what they are 100%? if those white plugs are for something that was not connected at factory i want to no what. they wouldnt just leave them like that.
