    ok now i have 55 watt h1 bulbs in the car, is it ok to put 100 watt h1's in the car???

    100 watts arn't legal...they will also heat up the wiring loom as they run at a higher ampage, could also overheat the light unit aswell....
    have i put you off?

    I've got 100w bulbs in my main beams. No problems as yet. As for the legality thing, they're in the main beams which only get used when the road is clear so I don't really see a problem in that respect.
    Retrofit hids are technically illegal too, plenty of people run them though, me included...
