ive been looking into the problem with the central locking on my e36 it keeps blowing the same fuse,i read that the fuel door actuator had a problem with blowing fuses when the actuator wasnt working which mine isnt so i unplugged it to check that the fuse hadnt blown again when i locked the car
i found out that the fuel filler door actuator was stuck open so i disconnected the power to it to try and eliminate it,everything was working a1 so i opened up the boot to replace the trim and smoke was pouring out of the boot lid and into my face ! so i disconnected the battery asap ! ive now got melted wires and a melted terminal inside the boot to the left upper corner
i dont want to power the car up until ive made it safe to drive !
where do i start ? thanks stu ... i will update with pics later today
ive just checked the fuse and its melted but not blown !
