I've seen this fob on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SERPI-STAR-ALA...d=p3286.c0.m14

I have looked all over the net to see how to programme the fob to the alarm unit and everywhere it says to remove a grommet from the alarm unit and slide a switch. My car doesn't seem to have this switch on the alarm unit?

Does anyone know how to programme the fob to the alarm unit? Or can someone sell one to me (its for the 3T EWS)

Hi mate, i have a 3t ews alarm as well, although with a differnt fob.
A few weeks ago i spoke to bmw about the fobs and they said because its a digital alarm? they have to code it in.

They quoted me £45 and it takes about 1 hour

    Hope this helps

I got quoted £30 for coding the fob and £44.16 for the actual fob.

I don't know if the alarm will work or if it has a shock sensor as standard etc.

Did you get yours working and whats it like? I think mine has a microwave sensor or maybe a tilt sensor fitted behind the centre console.

£30 I thought was abit pricey to be honest lol, they said it would take 10 minutes.

Does your fob look like this?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GEMEL-SERPI-ST...d=p3286.c0.m14

I take it your alarm doesn't have a keyhole on the siren either?

I'll be heading down to the dealers to order the remote and then get the car booked in for programming.

I'd rather spend the £80 its going to cost me now and make the car secure until I can save up for a Toad Ai606.

cheers billywhizz but the alarm i've got fitted is a 3T EWS, it doesn't have a switch on the control module. It needs to be programmed with a machine. I've got it booked in for wednesday so i'll get back to you if my alarm (hopefully!) works
