    Making it up as I go but three wires usually means it switches at two temps for the electric fan or fans

    So if true, depending on which wire is broken:
    Maybe no cooling fan...... BAD
    Usual fan works but no fast or second fan.... BAD
    Fast works so car nearly boild vbefore using fan.........BAD

    It controls how quick your fan goes when its on. If your car doesn't overheat, you should be ok for now.

    That fues it probs for the actual rear fogs
