    Hello everyone . I'm a new member.

Recently bought my fourth Beemer and have never come across this problem before.

Right then. Are you ready for this one !!!!!!!!!

When I switch on the lights I proceed to put on the front fog lights and they don't come on. If I continuosly press and depress the switch quite rapidly they will eventually come on. But if for example the car is standing still for a matter of minutes they come on on their own. with the switch on of course.

The other thing is the rear fog lights won't come on on side lights only unless the front fog switch is on aswell. I've tested the switch which is a new one and the current is going where it should be I've tested at the fuse under the bonnet and current ok there but then nothing at the lamps themselves . I've wiggled and pulled every wire I can find but still no lose ones .

Can someone please help me cause this is now driving me insane and i have an mot coming up soon and I don't want to fail cause of something stupid like this

You do realise that you also have a relay that controls the fog lights as well right? The same relay that controls the tail light.
